The show will also show footage of four of the settings and seven of the interviewees profiled in the book .

January 24, 2005 -- At 7:30PM on Wednesday January 26th, "Cape Encounters: Contemporary Cape Cod Ghost Stories" will be featured on "Chronicle" on WCVB-ABC Channel 5 Boston. The popular TV newsmagazine will focus on unexplained happenings in New England and the second half of the show will focus on the content of "Cape Encounters."

Dan Gordon and Gary Joseph--co-authors of the runaway regional bestseller--will be interviewed on their research. The show will also show footage of four of the settings and seven of the interviewees profiled in the book.

The roster of interviewees will include Jerry Ellis, a Korean war veteran and caretaker of the Sagamore Cemetery, who has had eerie encounters near the oldest stones on the grounds. Cast and crew of the Falmouth Theatre Guild will describe their sightings of Fay, the resident ghost in the Highland Theatre. The show will also profile a woman who hears organ music in her bedroom late at night and tavern owners who report ghosts joining in on musical acts on stage.

Gordon and Joseph will talk about their decade spent researching the haunted houses of Americas most beloved summer travel destination, and the writing of the runaway regional bestseller Cape Encounters: Contemporary Cape Cod Ghost Stories (Cockle Cove Press/July 2004/$14.95).

In Cape Encounters, over forty Cape Cod residents describe paranormal sightings and activities as part of their everyday lives. Like most New Englanders, these Cape Cod residents are always practical and sometimes humorous; they relate their ghost encounters in a matter of fact way that keeps their stories identifiable and intriguing.
