Mio Gelato Introduces New Seasonal Italian Artisan Gelato Flavors & Chocolato Caldo

New Fresh Gelato Flavors of Pumpkin, Cinnamon, Mint and Rum Raisin plus Traditional Italian Hot Chocolate

December 4, 2004 -- What goes well with Aunt Mabels pumpkin pie or Grandmas fruitcake? Mio Gelatos handmade artisan gelato in more than 70 rotating flavors, including winter favorites: cinnamon, hazelnut, rum raisin, and pumpkin. Mio Gelato will hand pack any combination of flavors in a pint ($6.95), quart ($13.90) or gallon ($50). The gallon will easily feed 25 people with 2 scoops each. A perfect topping for holiday pies or simply served alone, Mio Gelatos Italian gelato is to be savored and shared.

We handcraft every flavor right in the store says Bob Lightman, Mio Gelatos owner and chief gelato maker. Our texture is the real thingsoft, light and creamy and, of course, truly Italian.

Italian Chocolato Caldo
A special blend of hot chocolate imported from Italy is now available at Mio Gelato. We have an authentic Italian machine that slow cooks the chocolate so the creamy, rich texture develops, says Lightman. It is like drinking warm chocolate pudding.

More than Gelato
Mio Gelato also serves homemade grilled Panini sandwiches and rustic Italian soups made in house daily.

Panini Sandwiches:
Genoa Salami with basil and fontina cheese
Prosciutto with arugula and parmesan
Capicollo, a spicy ham with tomatoes, arugula, and fontina
Caprese with tomatoes, basil and mozzarella
Vegetarian selection with grilled eggplant, zucchini and spinach

Homemade Soup:
Zuppa del Giorno Pappa al Pomodoro, Tuscan tomato and bread soup.
Minestra di Fagioli, Vegetable soup with cannelloni beans, tomato, celery, carrots & parsley
