On Sunday, September 12, at 1 PM, outdoors on Orchard Street @ Stanton, THIRTY of the most talented rated next L.E.S. designers will present, during Fashion Week, their Fall 2004 and Spring 2005 Collections in a fashion forward afternoon of runway shows (at 2 PM and 4PM), dj Girlina, cuisine from neighborhood restaurants, art, shopping, and after parties.

Stores A GoGo was initially conceived in 2002, as a way to promote L.E.S. businesses that were hurt from the economic slowdown created by 9/11. Today Stores A GoGo has become a prominent fixture on the Fashion Calendar and an alternative place for emerging designers to show or launch, including press and celebrity darlings Guido NY, Rebecca Minkoff, and Victor De Souza.

The purpose of this event is to create a platform for emerging designers to showcase and present their collections, under a collective umbrella of a large-scale Fashion Week event with major sponsorship, support and recognition from the industry. And to increase the visibility of the Lower East Sides dynamic nexus of designers, stores, art, & cuisine, while revitalizing the neighborhoods economy.

In addition, CO-Creator of Stores A GoGo, Michelle Alleyne produces fashion events and teaches with Funky Lala workshops on Fashion and PR nationwide and is a celebrity stylist. FunkyLala.com and Productions is an online boutique, produces fashion events and shows, is a freelance writer, television personality, a celebrity stylist, CO-Designer of LaMa, is a PR and Fashion Consultant and firm, + conducts fashion and PR workshops. The L.E.S. B.I.D. is a not-for-profit economic development organization, established in 1992 to revitalize the Orchard Street Shopping District, while preserving its unique and diverse character. Forward (the L.E.S. B.I.D.s Fashion Incubator) is a combination of retail store, showroom and workshop for emerging, talented designers, providing selected designers with the opportunity to launch their fashion careers in a highly creative, cooperative environment.
Collectively the designers have dressed much of the A- List including Vivica A. Fox, Gwen Stefani, Blu Cantrell, Dave Navarro, Angelina Jolie, Janet Jackson, Mary J Blige, and Madonna. The presenters have dressed, worked with and designed for the likes of Saks Fifth Avenue, Sarah Jessica, Prince, Lenny Kravitz, Aerosmith, Daily Candy, Eve, Ricky Martin, Britney Spears and the list goes on.
